The Nintendo Switch Online service will launch a Playtest Program for a mysterious new feature from October 23, 2024, at 6:00 pm Pacific (9:00 pm Eastern) to November 5, 2024, at 4:59 pm Pacific (7:59 pm Eastern). Nintendo is recruiting people with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership for the test from October 10, 2024, at 8:00 am Pacific (11:00 am Eastern) to October 15, 2024, at 7:59 am Pacific (10:59 am Eastern). Applications may close early if Nintendo reaches its target of 10,000 accepted applicants.

There are no details about the actual features of the Playtest Program on the announcement page. Nintendo stated that participants will need to download exclusive software to their own Nintendo Switch to participate. Interested participants must be registered in Japan, the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, or Spain. Japanese applicants will be chosen through a raffle system, while those outside Japan will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can apply here starting on October 10 at 8:00 am Pacific (11:00 am Eastern).
