Yesterday was the Nintendo Direct event, where Nintendo covered several of its upcoming games for its home and portable consoles. There were plenty of announcements from the Nintendo Direct, including confirmation that Luigi will be a playable character in the upcoming Smash Bros. game on both the Wii U and 3DS.
A pleasant surprise from Nintendo was the announcement of the new Animal Crossing Plaza for the Miiverse Community on the Wii U. In addition, the company announced that Sonic Lost World will feature connectivity between the Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo also put a huge focus on its 3DS portable console, revealing details for a number of its upcoming games including Professor Layton Vs. Ace Attorney and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
