Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, a mobile game first announced in April 2022 alongside Kingdom Hearts IV, has released a new teaser trailer. The game, billed as a “GPS based Action RPG,” is set to release on iOS and Android. With the latest trailer, the team at Square Enix is recruiting beta testers from now until November 19, 2023 but you have to be in the U.K. or Australia.

A closed beta test FAQ reveals a bit more about the upcoming mobile game, confirming it will require location information access to play. It’s likely drawing some inspiration from popular games like Pokémon Go, where your real-world location impacts where you are in the game. “The location information is used to display the player’s current position and map in-game,” the FAQ says.

The closed beta test will occur in two separate phases. The first phase, exclusive to iOS devices, will run from November 29 to December 8, 2023. The second phase, planned for Android devices, is currently scheduled for January 2024. Data from the beta tests won’t carry over to the game’s official release. If you are interested in applying for the closed beta test, head to the game’s official website.
