The new Gauntlet will be released on September 3 on Linux and Windows, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced. Pre-orders for the Gauntlet reboot is available for $19.99 on Steam and those that pre-order will receive a free digital comic called Gauntlet: Darkness Calls from DC Entertainment. Other retailers are offering unique in-game weapons in addition to pre-order bonuses such as the Reaper’s Visage helm and a double-headed axe known as Akzog the Demon Slayer – both are available through Steam.
The game is being developed by Arrowhead Studios, which is the company behind Magicka and Helldivers. Those that played the classic Gauntlet will feel right at home with all four classes: Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie and Elf.
