An entirely new gaming showcase called the New Game Plus Showcase has been announced. It will debut on January 8, 2026, and the goal is to put “authentic excitement back at the center of game reveals.” The show is presented by Gaming World Media, takes place at 1:00 PM Pacific (4:00 PM Eastern), and will feature 45 games. It’s a creator-led initiative that promises no paid placements, as it focuses on genuine excitement and conversation. Viewers can expect to see exclusive game footage and interviews during the showcase. If you’re interested in catching the New Game Plus Showcase, you can tune in on YouTube, Twitch, and social media platforms on January 8.
At the time of writing, the official X account has confirmed at least one game that will debut at the event: Distant Shore: Bretagne, which is being described as a “sandbox Portal with magnets.” Creators Jake Lucky, Luality, Luke Stephens, Blue Thunder, and IAmRob have all suggested or confirmed their association with the project. As for the other 44 games, they’ve been curated by the team of creators based solely on their interest in the titles, and it’ll be a mix of indie and AAA games.
