At Tokyo Game Show 2015, Square Enix revealed a new Final Fantasy XV trailer titled Dawn 2.0. The new trailer focuses on protagonists Noctis and Luna as they reflect on the tragic events of their respective pasts. For Luna, the trailer depicts her struggle against the restrictive Imperial hold over Niflheim while Noctis reflects back on his father as he prepares himself for the journey ahead.

The video’s description reads: “The destiny of the stars is set in motion 15 years before the events of Final Fantasy XV. This updated cut of the ‘Dawn’ trailer reveals new footage of the game’s protagonists, Noctis and Luna, as the hardships of their past give them purpose in the present. Their journey begins.”

Along with the trailer, Square Enix shared new screenshots of the game that shows Noctis and his crew riding chocobos as well as previewing how players can spend time in the great outdoors fishing, one of the few different activities and mini-games that will be in Final Fantasy XV. The game will be released sometime in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
