Camouflaj, the studio behind Marvel’s Iron Man VR, has announced its next game, Batman Arkham Shadow. Set to release later this year, the game will be exclusive to Meta Quest 3. The team is working closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC to deliver “an authentic new entry in the celebrated Arkham franchise, something that the series’ millions of fans will know is no easy feat.” According to a statement on Camouflaj’s website, the company has been working on Batman: Arkham Shadow for years in secrecy.
Since the title will be exclusive to Meta Quest 3, it’s being built to take full advantage of the headset. Camouflaj’s goal is not only to create a distinctly Arkham-feeling game but to do so in a way that leverages the immersive magic only VR can provide. The developer confirmed this is their largest project to date, and we’ll have to tune into Summer Game Fest for the world premiere of the cinematic trailer. For now, we’ll have to make do with the teaser trailer Meta released today.
