Monster Train 2’s Last DLC Is The Punished, Out November 10

Shiny Shoe is ending Monster Train 2’s run of post-launch content with one last paid clan, The Punished, which arrives on November 10 for $7.99 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, and PC. The clan is led by Archus, Darkness Incarnate, and its whole premise is converting suffering into power: players can sacrifice cards to the Monolith to build Devotion, which strengthens The Punished’s units through Zeal, and the more damage the clan takes, the stronger it gets. Developer Shiny Shoe and publisher Big Fan also confirmed Monster Train 2 has now passed one million players, and the game is coming to Switch 2, Android, and iOS later this year with The Punished available on those platforms as well.

Monster Train 2 launched on May 21, 2025, and Shiny Shoe has kept a steady schedule since then, with the free Lost Arsenal update in September 2025, the free Echoes From the Void update that November, and the $9.99 Destiny of the Railforged DLC in February, which added the Railforged Clan and the Soul Savior game mode alongside a free Wurmkin Clan for everyone. In my review, I called it essentially the perfect sequel for fans of the original, and as I said when Echoes From the Void was announced, it’s been great to see the continued support.

For those who still haven’t tried it, the PlayStation 5 version also joins the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup on November 3, a week before The Punished arrives.
