While we certainly enjoyed our time as a group with Monster Hunter Wilds when it launched earlier this year, it was our most anticipated game of the year after all, performance issues on PC really made us step away from the game sooner than we would’ve liked. Capcom has been rolling out sizable updates to it since launch, but it won’t be until January 2026 that we’ll get a significant Steam-specific stability patch. Before we get to 2026, though, players can look forward to Title Update 4, which lands on December 16.

Gogmazios makes its return to the Monster Hunter series, bringing a fight where groups of up to four Hunters and four Support Hunters are tasked with forming parties of eight. Players can repeat the permanent Event Quest for Gogmazios to gather materials to upgrade rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons. The bonuses from the original Artian Weapon will carry over to the Gogma Artian Weapon, and one random Set Bonus Skill and one random Group Skill will be granted. There’s also the Gogma Reinforce feature, which allows players to keep or reset the bonuses to activate even more powerful bonuses, and reroll the Set Bonus Skill and Group Skill by using special materials. Those who are Hunter Rank 100 or above gain the “Transcendence” ability at the forge, increasing the maximum level of their high-rank armor and enhancing the decoration slots for rarity 5 and 6 pieces.

Title Update 4 also brings Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad on December 24 as a permanent Event Quest. Slaying Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad drops materials for a powerful Gamma armor set. There will also be new Optional Quests with multiple 9-star monsters to earn special Nameplate rewards. As for new Support Hunters, players will get to group up with Nadia, Griffin, and Nightmist. Finally, there’s the Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn to look forward to on December 19. Along with festive decor and meals at the Grand Hub, the event will have special equipment, gestures, and decorations.

As for PC players, Monster Hunter Wilds will get a Steam-specific stability patch in January 2026. It’s designed to offer additional optimization options, presets, and improvements. These are all in addition to the stability and optimization updates arriving on all platforms in Title Update 4. After that, February 18, 2026, will see the arrival of Arch-tempered Arkveld, who will be the final Arch-tempered monster in Version 1.041. A collaboration event with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will also be part of that update, along with the winning community designs from the Original Weapon and Pendant Design contests.
