Capcom has announced a second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, which will take place over two separate sessions. The first session runs from February 6, 2025, at 7:00pm Pacific (10:00pm Eastern) until February 9 at 6:59pm Pacific (9:59pm Eastern). The second session starts on February 13 at 7:00pm Pacific (10:00pm Eastern) and ends on February 16 at 6:59pm Pacific (9:59pm Eastern). This open beta test will offer new content that wasn’t seen in the first test, and it will have crossplay enabled. Players will be able to experience all the content from the first test in November 2024, but they will also be able to embark on a Gypceros Hunt. Capcom teased that other new content for the second open beta test will be revealed at a later date.
Those who participate in the second open beta test will receive a pendant and bonus item pack that can be claimed in the full version of the game. The bonus item pack includes the following:
- 10x Raw Meat
- 3x Shock Trap
- 3x Pitfall Trap
- 10x Tranq Bomb
- 3x Large Barrel Bomb
- 5x Armor Sphere
- 10x Flash Pod
- 10x Large Dung Pod
To claim these bonuses when Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28, users must use the same platform account they used to play the open beta test. Users will need to create a character to qualify for the bonus items.
Monster Hunter Wilds is currently our most anticipated game of the year, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the second open beta test has to offer.
