The Mario Tennis series is getting another entry, following up on Mario Tennis Aces from 2018. Heading to Switch 2 on February 12, 2026, is Mario Tennis Fever, which pulls some ideas from the excellent Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Mario Tennis Fever will feature 30 Fever Rackets and 38 playable characters, the most in the series’ history. Each Fever Racket has its own special abilities, such as the Ice Racket, which can freeze the court, and the Mini Mushroom Racket, which can summon mushrooms that shrink opponents. The over-the-top tennis gameplay is taken to a new level as players build up their Fever Gauge to unleash powerful Fever Shots.

The Talking Flower from Super Mario Bros. Wonder shows up in Tournament mode to provide play-by-play commentary. Mario Tennis Fever will also feature Trial Towers mode, where players can test their skills and complete various objectives, and the Mix it Up mode, filled with unexpected rules and even Wonder Effects. Of course, there’s also online play for casual and Ranked Matches. Today’s trailer also revealed an Adventure mode where Mario and his friends have been transformed into babies. Play through a story in which they’ll have to relearn their tennis skills to defeat monsters and return to normal.
