Lost Planet 3 comes out today for the Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and PC. Developed by Spark Unlimited, the first-person shooter is published by Capcom and is a prequel to the previous two Lost Planet titles. Similar to the first Lost Planet, Lost Planet 3 will take a more story-driven narrative approach to the campaign with mission-based mechanics. Players will be able to choose to take on core quests to progress through the story, or side quests to assist fellow colonists on the planet of E.D.N. III.

This is the first Lost Planet title not developed by Capcom itself, but rather Spark Unlimited.
