During Gamescom Opening Night Live, Bandai Namco officially announced Little Nightmares III. The announcement trailer revealed two new characters and the developers confirmed that the game will support multiplayer with a new online co-op option. Set to release sometime in 2024, Little Nightmares III is being developed by Supermassive Games, the minds behind Until Dawn. Little Nightmares III is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.

Along with the announcement of Little Nightmares III, Bandai Namco also announced a new podcast called The Sounds of Nightmares, which will explore in detail the creation of the Little Nightmares franchise. It’s being billed as the “first audio fiction” series from the world of Little Nightmares and new episodes will release every Tuesday from August 22 through September 19, 2023. You can listen to the first two chapters here.

Updated August 23, 2023: We mistakenly assumed Little Nightmares III is being developed by Tarsier Studios, which created the first two Little Nightmare games. We have corrected the article as Supermassive Games is the developer behind Little Nightmares III.
