Action RPG Last Epoch will finally exit Early Access on February 21, 2024. This is when version 1.0 will launch, developer Eleventh Hour Games announced. The team released a roadmap leading to the 1.0 version, which starts with the introduction of Item Factions on January 11. Two weeks later, on January 25, we’ll get our first look at the Warlock. Then, a preview of the Falconer class will be released on February 8. Finally, Last Epoch 1.0 is set to launch on February 21.
After the official release, Eleventh Hour Games plans to bring “substantial new content” to Last Epoch every few months in what it calls “Cycles.” According to the developer, these releases will contain additions and refinements to many aspects of the game, including end-game content, skills, unique items, gameplay systems, quality-of-life features, and more. The release date for version 1.0 in February is a delay from the original timeline, which had aimed for December, but Eleventh Hour Games said the month became a bit too crowded with other releases, and the extra months of polish will benefit the new systems and classes.
I spent some time in Last Epoch prior to the launch of Diablo IV and found the game very promising. However, the multiplayer launch did have its fair share of bugs. After my disappointment with Diablo IV, I am very much looking forward to what Last Epoch 1.0 has to offer.
