Do you still not quite understand what Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is all about? Capcom has announced a free demo is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for those who want to check it out ahead of its July 19 launch. Combining action and strategy elements with a Japanese-inspired setting, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has players take on the role of Soh, who must make strategic decisions and use ritualistic dancing sword actions to protect the Maiden Yoshiro and bring peace back to the villages of Mt. Kafuku.
The game features a day and night cycle, where during the day, players must explore the village, purify villagers, and assign them to various roles, including where to place them to best protect the Maiden. At night, players, along with their villagers, must defend against the Seethe attacking the mountain.
To celebrate the demo’s release, Capcom also announced a special collaboration with Okami will be heading to Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. It will include exclusive Okami collaboration weapons and costumes as well as a special soundtrack. If players can work together to accumulate one billion crystals and find 15 of the hidden Lucky Mallets, the Okami collaboration items will be included as a free title update for everyone at launch.
