The trailer for KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide has hit the Internet, giving us a glimpse of the full documentary that will be released on January 22, 2014 on Hulu. The film is about Kazunori Yamauchi, the architect behind the Gran Turismo series on the PlayStation consoles. KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide will look back at his 15 years of success both on and off the track and how he’s able to blend the world of motorsports with gaming.
As CEO of Polyphony Digital, Yamauchi is also a professional race car driver and has turned the Gran Turismo series one of the best driving simulators available in the world. The latest iteration of the series, Gran Turismo 6, was released on December 6, 2013 for the PlayStation 3. Since its debut, the Gran Turismo series has sold over 70-million copies worldwide.
