Earlier this year in May, Blackbird Interactive announced Homeworld 3 would be delayed to February 2024. Blackbird Interactive has announced a slight adjustment to the launch date, now setting Homeworld 3’s release for March 8, 2024. As a longtime fan of the Homeworld series, I’m particularly excited about playing Homeworld 3 next year. Having thoroughly enjoyed the Homeworld Remastered Collection and Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, it seems Homeworld 3 is set to build on its predecessors.

The game is launching with several editions. The Standard Edition costs $59.99 and includes the base game. The Deluxe Edition is $79.99 and includes the Year One Pass. Stepping up to the $89.99 Fleet Command Edition adds a digital soundtrack, ship decals, profile banners, multiplayer name color, engine trail color, and 72-hour early access to the game. Finally, there’s a $174.99 Physical Khar-Kushan Collector’s Edition featuring the Mothership Khar-Kushan, a Hiigaran Torpedo Frigate, Hiigaran Destroyer, Hiigaran Recon in Delta Formation, WW2-inspired Spotter deck, Homeworld 3 Logo Key Chain, and a Lithograph. The Collector’s Edition also includes everything else from the previous editions.

An upcoming documentary, created in partnership with PC Gamer, promises to offer an in-depth look at the development of Homeworld 3. For a sneak peek, you can check out the hype trailer for this documentary below.
