Blizzard’s Overwatch is launching next week and the company has shared details on when you will be able to play the game. Similar to the Overwatch Open Beta, the game will go live in all regions, across all platforms at the same time worldwide. In the U.S., players will get access starting on May 23 at 4:00 PM Pacific or 7:00 PM Eastern. Please note that these are the times that the servers will be going live, so for those purchasing a digital copy of Overwatch on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you will be able to play at those times.
Those choosing the retail route will want to check if their store will allow you to pickup your physical copy on May 23. Most retailers are allowing customers to pick up the game on May 23, even though the official launch date is May 24.
If you participated in either the Overwatch Closed or Open Betas, you will not have to reinstall the game. You can simply update the game in your Battle.net client. According to Blizzard, Overwatch will be available to pre-download no later than today and is already available for pre-download on Xbox One.
