Today, the Xbox Partner Preview event showcased 14 games from third-party partners that are heading to Xbox and Windows. To start, Final Fantasy XIV, one of the best games I’ve ever played, is set to finally launch on Xbox Series X|S on March 21. The Starter Edition will be available as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk from March 21 to April 19. Capcom provided a deeper look at Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a single-player game set in a Japanese-inspired universe. First announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, Microsoft confirmed today that it will arrive on Game Pass on its release day later this year.

Several new games made their debut during today’s Xbox Partner Preview. Among them was The Sinking City 2, unveiling the long-awaited sequel from Frogwares. The Sinking City 2 will be a full-on horror game, set in the iconic Lovecraftian city of Arkham. Another fresh announcement was Unknown 9: Awakening, slated for release this summer. Initially teased at Gamescom 2020, today gave our first real glimpse into the third-person action-adventure game featuring Haroona, a truth seeker with a troubled past.

Inverge Studios has revealed their newest game, Creatures of Ava, a Creature Saver game where players help creatures escape from an infection rapidly spreading on the planet Ava. It is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S sometime this year. Monster Jam Showdown was another new game revealed, offering an off-road arcade racing experience set to launch on Xbox Series X|S this year. The final new reveal from today’s presentation is Sleight of Hand, a title from Riffraff Games. It is a third-person stealth game where players infiltrate their old witch coven using a cursed deck of cards.

Those who have been enjoying Persona 3 Reload can now look forward to the Expansion Pass. SEGA has confirmed the first details of the DLC, featuring new costumes, background music, and Episode Aigis -The Answer-. The Expansion Pass launches March 12 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC and will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users as part of the Perks program. Don’t get too excited now, though, because Episode Aigis -The Answer- won’t arrive until September. The March launch includes Persona 5 Royal EX BGM Set and Persona 4 Golden EX BGM Set, while May adds the Velvet Costume & BGM Set.

In another announcement for an existing game, Roblox is getting Griefville: Survive the Nightmare! The update, available starting today, draws inspiration from the beloved classic horror films of the ’80s and ’90s, featuring the iconic character Chucky at its core. Also starting today, a surprise shadow drop of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The package includes Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat.

The event also delivered more in-depth gameplay looks at Tales of Kenzera: Zau, launching April 23, 11-bit Studios’ The Alters, and Nexon’s First Berserker: Khazan. Finally, the highly anticipated Frostpunk 2 has a release date of July 24, and it will be available on PC Game Pass.
