Gran Turismo 6 won’t be released in North America until December 6, 2013 but work is already well under way for Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4. In a recent interview with Top Gear, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that in the best case scenario, gamers will have Gran Turismo 7 in their hands by next year for the PS4.

While it almost seems obscene that Gran Turismo 7 could be developed so quickly considering how the series has a reputation of delayed releases, Yamauchi assured that developing on the PS4 is a much easier process than on the PS3.

At the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday, Mercedes-AMG unveiled its Vision Gran Turismo, a vehicle built specifically for Gran Turismo 6. Virtual racers will be able to experience what it’s like to drive a car of the future, albeit a not-so-realistic one.
