Gran Turismo 30th Anniversary DualSense Launches Dec 10
Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV Part 1 adds Sportsland Sugo and six new cars tonight, while a $84.99 Gran Turismo DualSense arrives December 10.
Part 1 of the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update goes live tonight, October 14, at 11:00 PM Pacific (October 15 at 2:00 AM Eastern), and it’s free for everyone who owns the game. Polyphony Digital first detailed Spec IV during the September State of Play as a two-part update tied to the series turning 30 next year, with this half bringing the Sportsland Sugo circuit, six new cars, new events, Scapes locations, and a pair of new features. Part 2 follows in December with the return of Autumn Ring, another six cars, and new modes. Sony shared the full rundown alongside a first look at a Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense controller.
Sportsland Sugo is the headline addition for Part 1, a technical Japanese circuit with big elevation changes that comes with six new World Circuit events. The update also adds Experience mode, which is a set of brand-specific driving challenges, and a Car Viewer for admiring cars in your garage. On top of what Sony called out, the official Gran Turismo site lists a new opening cinematic, a Vintage section for cars that are no longer sold new, a Car Concierge service for ordering Used and Legend cars, and a higher Collector Level cap, which was last raised from 50 to 70 with Spec III in December.

As for the cars, the six additions range from an electric concept to a French economy car and, of course, a minivan. The Honda Civic Si Group A version is the Mugen Motul race car that won the 1987 All-Japan Touring Car Championship, built on the same Civic Si that joined the game in update 1.55 last January. Here’s the full list, along with where each one can be purchased:
- Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (Brand Central)
- Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ‘94 (Used Cars)
- Honda Civic Si Group A version ‘87 (Legend Cars)
- Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ‘26 (Brand Central)
- Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ‘23 (Brand Central)
- Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ‘86 (Used Cars)
The DualSense Wireless Controller – Gran Turismo Limited Edition pairs racing stripes and motorsport graphics with a textured, carbon fiber style front plate, and it will retail for $84.99 in limited quantities. Preorders open on October 22 at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern) through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers, with the controller launching globally on December 10. That’s the same price as the Lisa collaboration controller from last month, and as we said then, limited edition DualSense controllers have now become a regular occurrence rather than a rare one. For anyone who still hasn’t picked up Gran Turismo 7, My First GT remains free on the PlayStation Store as a way to try it out.
