Game Pass has delivered for its subscribers over the last few months with Blue Prince, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and DOOM: The Dark Ages. It shows no signs of slowing down, as Xbox has revealed the second wave of titles coming to the service in May 2025. Starting May 21, Monster Train 2 is available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S as a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. It’s a sequel to one of the best roguelike deckbuilders available, and in my review, I said it is essentially the perfect sequel.

On May 22, two titles become available to Game Pass Standard subscribers: Creatures of Ava and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, both on Xbox Series X|S. Creatures of Ava is an action-adventure, creature-saver game that features a blend of platforming, puzzles, and light combat mechanics. Meanwhile, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person shooter with some horror and survival elements. Also available on May 22 is Tales of Kenzera: ZAU on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S through EA Play for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users. It’s a single-player metroidvania that tells a touching tale of life and death.

Next on the list is Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, available starting May 27 for Cloud, Console, and PC on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This shooter is now kicking off Year 7 Season 1, so if you’ve never tried it, here’s your chance on Game Pass. On May 28, another day-one release arrives: To a T. Available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, this colorful adventure comes from the creator of Katamari Damacy and the uvula team. It tells the story of a teen navigating life in a small town while stuck in a T-pose.

Another major title joining the Game Pass lineup on May 29 is last year’s Metaphor: ReFantazio on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. From the creators of Persona, Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the best games I’ve ever played and is a wonderful follow-up to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 if you’re looking for another turn-based RPG to play. Also available that day is Spray Paint Simulator, another day-one release on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users. This relaxing game lets players build their own painting business from the ground up. Experience a Story Mode filled with plenty of painting jobs, while Free Spray mode lets players turn the town into their personal canvas.

Leading into the next month, Game Pass has announced two titles coming June 3: Crypt Custodian and Symphonia. Both will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. The former is a top-down metroidvania about cleaning up the afterlife, while the latter is a platformer set in a musical world.

Xbox also announced that 15 more games are coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on May 23.

  • Costume Quest 2
  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered
