The PlayStation VR2 is expanding on its launch lineup, with Sony announcing four new games heading to its virtual reality headset: Tiger Blade, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, Pixel Ripped 1995, and The 7th Guest VR.
Tiger Blade aims to bring the best of Korean neo-noir action cinema to the PS VR2. In the game, players slash and blast their way through the streets of Sewoon, set in an alternate Korea. Players take the role of the deadliest assassin, working for the Horangi chapter of the Tiger Clans.
The game features a scoring and ranking system, online leaderboards, and speedrunning, making it highly replayable. That’s not all, Tiger Blade is played to the beat of original Korean Hip-Hop, so if you like what you hear in the trailer, there’s plenty more in the game.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is a remake of the award-winning Wanderer, completely reimagined for the next generation of VR. Adventurers will get to experience plenty of exciting new features and gameplay, including breathtaking new visuals and the ability to swim, jump, crouch, climb, zipline, and swing their way through time. No release date was announced, but developer Mighty Eyes did say it’s launching in the near future and the company will have more to share very soon.
Pixel Ripped 1995 wants you to relive the golden era of gaming and it’s a loving homage to 16- and 32-bit classics, all in a virtual reality world. Set to release in the near future, Pixel Ripped 1995 will let players enjoy the 120fps capabilities of the PS VR2, as they explore a range of games inspired by the classics that many know and love.
Finally, older gamers will recognize The 7th Guest. The iconic 1990s supernatural mystery is heading to VR and it will be a remake of the original game and its story with brand new puzzles, new spaces to explore, and 3D live-action graphics through ghostly volumetric video capture. This should be an experience like none other when it comes out later this year.
