Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3 will add numerous features to Square Enix’s successful MMORPG and the company has released a new trailer previewing the major content patch. Some of the new features being introduced in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3 include: 24 vs. 24 vs. 24 PvP zones, Ramuh Primal fight, Item Desynthesis, Daily Hunts, Private Chambers, Chocobo Raising and new dungeons.
Three new dungeons will be added in Patch 2.3: Hullbreaker Isle, The Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard) and The Stone Vigil (Hard). In addition, a new Crystal Tower called Syrcus Tower will be added geared towards the more casual crowd of players.
The major PvP addition is called The Frontlines and is aimed at casual PvP players. The Frontlines can feature up to 72 players split across three teams of 24 each and the fights can take up to 30 minutes. In addition, there will be areas with flags that will be similar to a “King of the Hill” type of feature, where teams will earn points by staying on it.
Many players might be excited to hear about Chocobo Raising and breeding, which can be done at a Free Company’s housing. Speaking of housing, Patch 2.3 will introduce Private Chambers or personal rooms. Requirements to having a Private Chamber is to be in a Free Company and having a certain rank in the Grand Company. It will be approximately 300,000 gil for a personal room.
