Square Enix has rolled out version 1.5.0 for Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, and the biggest addition is New Game+, which carries over unit levels, item data, and more from a completed save into a fresh playthrough. The update is live now on all platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. It also adds a Zodiac Compatibility function that lets you check a unit’s zodiac sign and compatibility from its status screen.

Along with those two headline features, the patch also brings a batch of quality-of-life tweaks. You can now check the status of a unit sitting under the selection cursor when choosing where to move or what to target, a “Remove All Equipment” button has been added to the status screen, locked job requirements are spelled out more clearly, and the camera angle and zoom now hold steady for an entire battle. Three new gameplay toggles join the Options menu as well, covering auto-proceed for cutscenes, guaranteed ability incantation dialogue, and cursor memory in the abilities menu. The enhanced version also picks up text support for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean, alongside the usual round of minor text fixes, sound adjustments, and stability improvements.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles was one of 2025’s standouts for me. In my review, I praised the remaster’s quality-of-life additions for streamlining the experience without watering it down.
