Gamers who love collecting physical games have a treat coming this December from Square Enix. For the first time in the Americas, we’re getting physical editions of several Final Fantasy fan favorites for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Preorders for these physical editions are open today at the Square Enix store. It’s worth mentioning that two of these were previously available in other markets, which is why you may see them on Amazon.

The first is the Final Fantasy VII (Original) + Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Twin Pack, priced at $39.99 for both titles on the Nintendo Switch. The two-pack is set to release on December 9, 2025, and you can preorder it here. The second is the beloved Final Fantasy IX on Nintendo Switch, priced at $39.99. That, too, will release on December 9, and preorders are available here.

On PlayStation 5, Square Enix is finally offering a physical edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade & Rebirth as a twin pack. It will cost $59.99 and will launch on December 4. It’s a great way to experience this version of Final Fantasy VII, and I highly recommend it as I currently consider Final Fantasy VII Rebirth the best game I’ve ever played. In my review, I called it a beautiful and emotional reimagining of a classic story, delivering one of the finest video game experiences I’ve ever had. Preorders are also currently available at the Square Enix store, and we’ll update this post if it appears at other retailers.

Update October 9, 2025: Preorders are now available at Amazon.
