I love Final Fantasy XIV. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played and it somehow manages to improve with every expansion. You’ve likely heard the meme about how the MMORPG offers a free trial that includes the Heavensward expansion and now, Square Enix is offering the Stormblood expansion free for a limited time. In order to redeem a free digital copy of Stormblood, you must own the Final Fantasy XIV Online Starter Edition and have an active subscription to the game.
The Free Stormblood campaign runs from March 27, 2023 to May 8, 2023 (7:59am PDT) and coincides with a Free Login Campaign over the same period of time. The Free Login Campaign allows returning players to play free for a limited time — four days to be exact.
These campaigns are happening as Final Fantasy XIV readies Patch 6.4, which will be detailed during the FFXIV Live Letter 76 event on March 31 at 4:00am PDT. The game is currently on its fourth expansion, Endwalker, so if you’re just now catching up to Stormblood, you’ve got a lot of content to cover. The promotion is great if you enjoyed the free trial, since purchasing the game will now get you a free copy of Stormblood.
