FFXIV 2.2 will be titled Through the Maelstrom and is launching on March 27, 2014. Square Enix has released a new preview video showcasing all of FFXIV 2.2’s upcoming features including the new Leviathan Primal battle, new Hildebrand quests, mounts, beastmen tribes, dailies, a new dungeon called The Lost City of Amdapor while Halatali and Brayflox’s Longstop will be getting Hard Mode versions. Finally, raiders will get to look forward to the Second Coil of Bahamut with four new turns added to the dungeon. In addition, players will now be able to use the Duty Finder to complete the first turns of the raid.

FFXIV 2.2 will also introduce the vanity system, allowing players to change the way their gear looks. New advanced crafting recipes, fishing challenges, hairstyles and gardening are other highlights joining in FFXIV 2.2.
