Final Fantasy XIV‘s first expansion will be titled Heavensward and was announced during the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival this past weekend. The Heavensward expansion will arrive next year and will raise the level cap to 60 and will take place on Ishgard where an epic battle of Dragoons vs. Dragons is taking place. There will be plenty of new areas to explore along with jobs and Primals, some of which will be unique to Final Fantasy XIV. Square Enix also revealed that floating islands in the sky can be visited in the Heavensward expansion and heavily hinted that Free Companies will be able to build airships and more. Other details include Chocobo Forests, new dungeons and end-game raids, a new race and more.
