Square Enix has announced the release date for Heavensward, Final Fantasy XIV‘s first expansion. Heavensward will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on June 23, 2015 in North America and those that pre-order the game will have early access to its content starting June 19, 2015. The expansion will feature a new story that will send adventurers into the heart of the Dragonsong War, a thousand-year conflict that have the knights of Ishgard taking on the dragons of Dravania. Heavensward will also increase the level cap from 50 to 60 for all disciplines as well as adding a new race, new dungeons and raids, new primal battles and new mounts that will take players to the skies. The expansion will also add two new jobs to Final Fantasy XIV: Astrologian (healer) and Machinist (DPS).
