Far Far West has sold over one million copies in less than two weeks since its April 28 Early Access launch on Steam, publisher Fireshine Games and developer Evil Raptor announced today. It’s not a surprising result given the game’s 97 percent Overwhelmingly Positive rating, and after 10 hours with our crew, we said it was one of the first PvE co-op shooters to actually stick the Helldivers 2 landing.
The momentum continued with the game’s first major update, which dropped on May 14 and tackled some of the loudest community feedback. The Prestige grind has been cut in half, weapon XP gains are up across the board (main weapons by 1.5x, secondary by 2x), and Jokers now spawn individually for each player to put an end to lobby hoarding. There are also balance changes, bug fixes, and the (long overdue, per Evil Raptor) addition of being able to carry pigs and chickens around the lobby.
The full patch notes are available on the Steam Community Hub. Far Far West is in Early Access on PC for $19.99.
