Fable Legends will not only be a four-player cooperative Fable game, but will be unique in the world of multiplayer gaming by allowing a player to assume the role of the villain. At the Microsoft E3 2014 press conference, Lionhead Studios took to the stage to show off more of the gameplay from the villain’s point of view.

Essentially, the villain player will control the world from above “like a malevolent God,” and will control various events such as what monsters spawn where. The four players will then take on the adventure the villain set forth, trying to topple all the evil that he or she is invoking.

Fable Legends‘ multiplayer beta will begin this fall.
