Elden Ring Nightreign players hungering for more content won’t have to wait much longer. During today’s State of Play Japan, Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows DLC was announced for a December 4, 2025 release. The Forsaken Hollows adds two new playable characters and two new expedition boss targets, along with a new Shifting Earth event. The two new Nightfarers are Scholar and Undertaker. Scholar is an academic who walks the Lands Between with an impressive arcane level, gaining advantages through battlefield observation. The Undertaker, meanwhile, is an abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord, boasting impressive strength and faith.

As for the two new bosses, well, you’ll have to pick apart the trailer to get details on those. FromSoftware is keeping quiet in its official press release about the DLC. It did, however, share a few minor details about the new Shifting Earth event. It’s called The Great Hollow, centered around a giant cavity in the depths of Limveld. It’s filled with exotic ruins and temples, and players will have to contend with crystals that emanate a cursed, life-draining miasma.

Those who preorder The Forsaken Hollows DLC will receive the Elden Ring Nightreign digital artbook and mini-soundtrack. With the DLC’s announcement, the current Deluxe Upgrade Pack is being renamed The Forsaken Hollows DLC, so make sure you’re not purchasing it twice. The DLC is included in the Collector’s and Deluxe Editions of the game.

Despite not being a huge soulslike fan, I absolutely loved my time with Elden Ring Nightreign earlier this year. In my review, I called it one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had, but only when things go smoothly with co-op partners. Considering the December schedule is rather light for new releases, I’m looking forward to jumping back into the game with the DLC’s release.
