Last week, FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring Nightreign would add a Duo Expeditions mode with Patch 1.02, originally scheduled to launch today. However, it has been delayed to tomorrow, July 31, at 1:00 AM Pacific (4:00 AM Eastern), due to the tsunami warning issued after the 8.8-magnitude earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula. This means the second cycle of Everdark Sovereign, originally scheduled to go live at 6:00 PM Pacific (9:00 PM Eastern) today will also be delayed until after Patch 1.02 is distributed.

When it launched on May 30, Elden Ring Nightreign lacked a two-player mode, offering only trio or solo play. The game initially had solo-play balancing issues, so it’ll be interesting to see how Duo Expeditions feels at launch. Although I’m not a huge soulslike fan, Elden Ring Nightreign’s co-op gameplay won me over, and I found myself surprisingly hooked.
