Dying Light will be getting a feature-heavy, story-based expansion pack titled The Following and will be free to all Season Pass holders. Dying Light: The Following will also be available as a separate purchase, although pricing has not yet been announced. Techland hasn’t released many details on the expansion, promising that more will be revealed at Gamescom 2015, but the expansion’s producer, Tymon Smektala did say that “For Dying Light: The Following we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion. Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here.”

Smektala added, “We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we’ve created here. Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans.”

The expansion pack will be showcased behind closed doors early next month at Gamescom, but Techland will have a full public reveal shortly after the event.

FullCleared.com thoroughly enjoyed our experience through Dying Light, offering intense and suspenseful gameplay combined with a solid combat system and impressive co-op. Check out a gallery of screenshots that Techland has released for Dying Light: The Following below.
