Last July, Dungeons of Hinterberg launched on Xbox and PC to positive reception. The indie adventure takes players to the Austrian Alps and puts them in the shoes of Luisa. Escaping her mundane corporate life, Luisa goes on a dungeon-exploring vacation packed with unique puzzling twists. Combat also plays a role in the game, featuring a blend of sword and magic skills to keep monsters at bay. Luisa can harness the wind and conjure a hoverboard out of thin air, adding maneuverability to the combat system.
Outside of dungeon exploration, players can spend their evenings building relationships with the town’s locals and other adventurers. Some of these relationships will help Luisa become stronger, a system that should be familiar to Persona veterans. To add more variety, customization is key, with plenty of outfits available for players to tailor Luisa’s appearance to their liking.
For the PlayStation launch on March 13, Dungeons of Hinterberg will get a new, secret bonus episode, but publisher Curve Games has kept details to a minimum. The PlayStation version will include all previously released content updates, including the New Game Plus mode, over 25 dungeons, over 20 enemies, numerous bosses, four visually distinct biomes featuring five to seven dungeons each, over 10 unique locations to hang out in, and over 20 locals and residents to interact with.
