Earlier this month, the Diablo IV team shared the game’s 2025 roadmap, which revealed two IP collaboration events. The first is set to run during the Belial’s Return season from April to July, while the second will take place during the Infernal Chaos season from September to December. At the time, the roadmap didn’t reveal who or what those collab events were with, but now we know the first crossover—and it’s a fitting one: Berserk. The popular manga series-turned-anime comes from the late Kentaro Miura and stars Guts, a lone swordsman who really fits the role of a Diablo barbarian.

It appears the collab will also happen with Diablo Immortal, which makes sense since these types of events are more popular within the mobile gaming audience. A short video is being teased on both social media and YouTube, one specifically mentioning Diablo IV and the other Diablo Immortal. Accompanying that teaser are the statements “Trace the path of the Black Swordsman” and “You have been branded.”

Hopefully the collaboration entails more than just microtransactions and a skin. The Diablo franchise could do some interesting things with crossover events. Hopefully we’ll learn more soon, since the next Diablo IV season starts on April 29.
