Destiny Closed Beta Down in Preparation for Xbox Gamers

The Destiny closed beta for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 has gone down for maintenance in preparation for its launch on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. The Destiny closed beta will be offline today and tomorrow and will resume on July 23 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET and will be live on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Bungie will be taking down the Destiny closed beta at 11:59 PM PT on July 27 / 2:59 AM ET (July 28) with a special event called the Beta Rally kicking off on July 26 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET. All players that participate in the Beta Rally will receive an exclusive emblem that will carry over to the retail game.

Destiny will be released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9.
