The dates for the Destiny beta have been announced for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. PlayStation gamers will get to enjoy the Destiny beta for eight days from July 17 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET to July 28 11:59 PM PT / 2:59 AM ET while Xbox gamers will get to check out the game on July 23 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET until the same end date as PlayStation gamers.
It’s worth mentioning that PlayStation gamers will experience downtime from July 21 to July 22 for maintenance, so it won’t be a true eight-day experience for the Destiny beta.
In addition, the company revealed a pair of collector’s editions: Destiny Ghost Edition ($149.99) and Destiny Limited Edition ($99.99). Both Collector’s Editions will include:
- Limited edition SteelBook case and game disc
- Guardian Folio with Arms & Armament Field Guide, Postcards from the Golden Age and Antique Star Chart
- Collector’s Edition Digital Content Pack with Unique Ghost Casing, Exclusive Player Emblem and Exclusive Player Ship Variant
- Destiny Expansions Pass (Expansion 1: The Dark Below and Expansion 2: House of Wolves) – $34.99 value
The Ghost Edition will include a Ghost replica with motion-activated lights and Peter Dinklage’s voice, a letter of introduction and Golden Age Relics like a photo, sticker and more.
Those that choose to pre-order the game digitally will receive the Destiny Expansion Pack and the Collector’s Edition Digital Content Pack.
Destiny will be released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9, 2014.
