Popular co-op FPS Deep Rock Galactic is getting a single-player, survivor-like spinoff called Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. This auto-shooter incorporates the full arsenal from Deep Rock Galactic, and players familiar with the original game will recognize many of the aliens and mining nodes in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. Set to launch into Early Access on February 14, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will initially feature four classes, 40 weapons, 20 enemy types, three biomes, and an extensive progression system including class mods, artifacts, and upgrades.
The overall gameplay will mirror other survivor-like games but will also incorporate mechanics from Deep Rock Galactic. Players will have to delve deeper into the caves of Hoxxes, killing bugs and upgrading gear along the way. Players must also tunnel to collect riches buried deep in the cave walls, with each mission being unique thanks to procedural cave generation and enemy waves. Similar to Deep Rock Galactic, players must complete mission objectives and return to their Drop Pod in time for escape.
