Six months after exiting Early Access, Dave the Diver has now sold three million units, developer Mintrocket has announced. The game’s unexpected blend of fishing simulation and restaurant management contributed to its surprising rise in popularity following its official release. Despite often being labeled as an indie game, even receiving a nomination at The Game Awards 2023 for Best Independent Game, Mintrocket is actually a subsidiary of the Korean publishing giant Nexon.
The three million total sales include units sold on both PC and Switch. Dave the Diver recently won the Sit Back and Relax category of The Steam Awards 2023, one of the few winners on the list that actually makes sense.
