The sandbox adventure game Core Keeper will be a day-one title on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC when it officially launches on August 27. The game has been in Early Access on Steam since 2022, and we’ve put in over 30 hours in the game throughout the past two years. The title supports up to eight players in online co-op but offers a fantastic adventure as a single-player experience. If you’ve never heard of Core Keeper, it’s a mining sandbox adventure that takes players to an ancient underground world filled with mysterious creatures, diverse biomes, and hidden secrets.

If you’ve played games like Terraria or Stardew Valley, you’ll find the overall gameplay familiar. Players harvest resources to build a base, craft tools, and level up skills, all while powering up a relic called the Core. Additionally, there is fishing, farming, pets, vehicles, skill trees, resources, and plenty of bosses to encounter.

According to developer Pugstorm, over two million players have joined the world of Core Keeper during its PC Early Access. There is a lot to do in the game, and we can’t wait to see what has been introduced since we last explored its world.
