Sega has announced a release date for its re-imagined Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, a title originally developed for the Sega Genesis. The beautiful 3D game will be heading to the PlayStation 3 on September 3, 2013 for $14.99 and the Xbox 360 and PC a day later. But those wanting to get it for the PlayStation 3, can pre-order starting from August 20 through September 2 and get a free copy of the original Genesis title along with an exclusive pre-order theme, and three avatars.

As for the remake, it will feature all-new HD graphics and gameplay with Castle of Illusion bringing Mickey and his magical world to life.
