Less than a year after its official release on July 14, 2023, Exoprimal has confirmed that Season 4 will be its final season with new content. When Season 4 ends on July 11, Season 1 will return, and moving forward, a new season will begin on the first of each month. The game will cycle through Seasons 1 to 4 and will offer previous Season Passes again when those seasons roll around. Although the game is no longer getting new content, all gameplay modes will be available, including the main Dino Survival mode and endgame content like Savage Gauntlet and Time Loop Rebellion. Capcom added that for players who are playing alone or matched with only a few others, bots will be added so they can enjoy the Hammerheads’ story and reach the ending.

The news is unfortunate for fans of the game but further proof that successful live service titles are the exception, not the rule. In our limited time playing Exoprimal, we found that the game suffered from an identity crisis and wasn’t particularly engaging or fun to play, even in a group.
