Activision has announced when players will get their first opportunity to check out Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Those who preorder will get early access to an open beta running from August 30 to September 4. Technically, it’s really just a closed beta for people who preorder, but those aren’t marketing buzzwords like early access and open beta. The true open beta, where anyone can play the game, takes place from September 6 to September 9.
The early access weekend will launch across all console platforms and PC, as well as for Game Pass subscribers, simultaneously. It will start at 10:00am Pacific (1:00pm Eastern) on August 30 and run until 10:00am Pacific (1:00pm Eastern) on September 4. The open beta for all players and on all platforms will also start at 10:00am Pacific (1:00pm Eastern) on September 6 and end at the same time on September 9.
More details on the beta will be revealed in the coming days and weeks, but players can look forward to experiencing the game’s Omnimovement, brand-new maps from Treyarch, building their own loadouts, and accessing a variety of weapons, equipment, and perks. If you preorder the Vault Edition, you will be able to play as any of the four Operators from the Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack—Park, Adler, Brutus, or Klaus—and test out any of the five weapons from the Mastercraft Weapon Collection.
