The Broken Age release date has been set for January 28, as backers of the Double Fine project began receiving their Steam keys for access starting today. Broken Age will be available for Windows, Mac and Linux via Steam with pre-orders available at $22.49.
Broken Age will be broken down into two acts, with the first act available starting January 28 and the act 2 conclusion coming later this year. The price of the game gets you both acts.
Broken Age is the first adventure game by Tim Schafer (Grim Fandango) in 16 years and was originally launched as a Kickstarter project two years ago. Featuring an original orchestral soundtrack, beautiful 2D hand-drawn graphics and an all-star vocal cast, Broken Age has lofty expectations after its record-setting Kickstarter funding of nearly $3.5 million.
