The North American version of Bravely Default will be launching sometime next year for the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles, and the Bravely Default official Twitter page has confirmed that it will be based on the upcoming For the Sequel version that’s being released in Japan later this year.

The oddly named role-playing game by Square Enix was originally announced to be U.S. bound back in April during a Nintendo Direct and has received favorable reviews in Japan. Recently, Square Enix announced that Bravely Default: For the Sequel would be available in Japan on December 9, 2013 and is an expanded edition of the original Bravely Default: Flying Fairy.

The company has added content to help streamline the game, in addition to new storyline events, difficult levels, an auto-battle system, and an option to increase combat speed up to four times.

No official release date has been announced by Nintendo, which is taking charge of localizing the game for the U.S. It will be released sometime in 2014 and will feature both English and Japanese sounds.
