Electronic Arts has taken a different approach to developing Battlefield 6, working closely with the community through a program called Battlefield Labs. Today, Battlefield Studios, which includes teams from Criterion Games, DICE, Ripple Effect, and Motive, unveiled Battlefield 6’s first trailer to the general public. The trailer gives players a first look at Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation that is bankrolled by former NATO states with the intention of throwing the world into global conflict. This sets the stage for the return of the series’ single-player campaign.
Before we learn more about the single-player campaign, though, we’ll get a multiplayer reveal event on July 31 at 11:30 AM Pacific (2:30 PM Eastern) from the developers at Battlefield Studios. EA is setting high expectations, stating that Battlefield 6 is the most ambitious title in the series’ history and that next week’s broadcast will be an “explosive showcase of some of the jaw-dropping maps players will battle across, the suite of modes both new and returning, and much much more.”
After the event, numerous creators will share live gameplay streams from around the world, including Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, and London. A follow-up event will be held in Hong Kong on August 2.
