Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, which originally launched on February 18, 2025, on Xbox Series X|S and PC, is heading to PlayStation 5 nearly one year later. PlayStation gamers can now preorder on the PlayStation Store ahead of the game’s February 17 launch, with the Standard Edition priced at $49.99 and the Premium Edition at $59.99. These prices will also be updated across all other storefronts, giving Avowed a permanent price cut. The Premium Edition adds two player armors and eight companion skins, along with a digital artbook and soundtrack.

Avowed is set in the world of Eora, first seen in the Pillars of Eternity franchise. The first-person fantasy action RPG takes players to the Living Lands, a mysterious island facing a dire threat with a plague spreading chaos across its wilderness. The game has received numerous updates since its launch, which will benefit PlayStation gamers hopping in for the first time next month. Some of the updates include fog of war improvements, an arachnophobia safe mode, additional gold and crafting materials, unique gear improvements, changes to the cooking and crafting systems, new NPC abilities and behaviors, more active and passive abilities, and more. For the game’s upcoming anniversary, Avowed will add New Game Plus, photo mode, a new weapon type, new character presets, and more.
