After two action games that adapted only part of the story, Omega Force is going the distance this time. At Summer Game Fest, Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announced Attack on Titan 3, the third entry in the studio’s action series based on Hajime Isayama’s manga and anime, and the first to cover the full story from beginning to end. It is in development for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with no release date announced yet.

Koei Tecmo describes the game as the culmination of the series, taking players from the Survey Corps’ early days through to the story’s conclusion, with new story and lore content along the way. Combat again centers on the omni-directional mobility gear that defines the franchise, and the studio says the system has been upgraded for more acrobatic, intense fights, including battles against the Nine Titans.

It follows Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom in 2016 and Attack on Titan 2 in 2018, both of which adapted the series only up to certain points. With the manga having wrapped in 2021 and the anime concluding in 2023, Attack on Titan 3 is positioned to tell the complete arc for the first time. While I know many didn’t enjoy the final season, I thought it was a bittersweet and fitting way to end the series.

As for the game, more is on the way soon. Koei Tecmo has set an official worldwide livestream for July 1, 2026, featuring guests Yui Ishikawa, the voice of Mikasa, and Shiori Mikami, the voice of Krista, with further details to be announced. Fans heading to Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, running July 2 to 5, can also catch the trailer at the AmiAmi exhibitor booth.
